Duties

  • According to Decree 381 of 2012:

Article 7. Business and Regulatory Affairs Office: The duties of the Business and Regulatory Affairs Office are:

 

1. Guaranteeing coordination between sector policies and energy regulations.

2. Advising the Minister on the regulations proposed by the Commission for the Regulation of Energy, Gas and Fuels (CREG) involving the production, supply, transportation, storage, distribution and sale of liquid fuels and biofuels in order to support the participation of the Ministry within CREG.

3. Advising the Minister on the regulations proposed by the Commission for the Regulation of Energy, Gas and Fuels (CREG) involving the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electrical energy in order to support the participation of the Ministry within CREG.

4. Advising the Minister on the regulations proposed by the Commission for the Regulation of Energy, Gas and Fuels (CREG) involving the production, supply, transportation, distribute and sale of fuel gas in order to support the participation of the Ministry within CREG.

5. Serving as a spokesperson in order to maintain contact with the parties involved in economic regulation affairs.

6. Advising the Minister and Vice-Minister during their participation in the Boards of Directors of sector companies.

7. Supporting the Ministry during the processes that involve selling the shares held by the Ministry of Mines and Energy in mining and energy sector companies.

8. Any other assigned duties.
